以陳國強為首的投資集團
購入邵氏(兄弟)有限公司
持有電視廣播有限公司26%之股份
香港，2011年 1月26日 – 電視廣播有限公司（511）公佈擁有其26%股份及其他重要資產之邵氏（兄弟）有限公司，已與由陳國強博士為首的投資集團達成協議，購入所有邵氏（兄弟）有限公司之權益。投資集團另外兩位成員為： 王雪紅女士和 Providence Equity Partners.
雙方沒有披露交易條款。整項交易預期在2011年3月31日或之前完成。完成後，陳國強博士，王雪紅女士和 Providence 的行政總裁 Jonathan Nelson 先生將被推選加入電視廣播有限公司董事局。
陳國強博士是知名的企業家，在香港、中國內地和世界各地擁有多類型業務。 陳博士成功取得其餘兩位成員全面參與和支持。整個投資集團傳媒行業的背景和經驗，定能將電視廣播有限公司的業務，發揮得更出色。
王雪紅女士是一位傑出的企業家，洞悉科技及策略趨勢，成功於台灣、中國內地及美國設立多間卓越的信息通信技術公司。她創辦「宏達國際電子股份有限公司」 (HTC Corp.) 及「威盛電子股份有限公司」 (VIA Technologies, Inc.) 並擔任主席。前者為智慧型手機的創新領導者，後者為半導體芯片設計及平台方案供應商。王女士於資訊科技及新媒體發展領域獲一致公認為具豐富經驗及傑出成就。

INVESTOR GROUP LED BY CHARLES CHAN
TO ACQUIRE SHAW BROTHERS’ 26% OWNERSHIP IN TVB
Hong Kong, January 26, 2011 – TVB (511) is pleased to announce today that Shaw Brothers (Hong Kong) Limited, which owns 26% of TVB’s outstanding shares and other major assets, has reached a definitive agreement with an investor group controlled by Dr. Charles Chan Kwok Keung under which the group will acquire Shaw Brothers’ ownership in TVB. The other two members of the investor group are Madam Cher Wang and Providence Equity Partners.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to be completed on or before 31 March 2011. Dr. Chan, Madam Wang and Providence Chief Executive Officer Mr. Jonathan Nelson will be nominated to join the TVB Board of Directors upon completion of the transaction.
Dr. Charles Chan is a well known entrepreneur, with diversified businesses in Hong Kong, Mainland China and other parts of the world. He has secured the full support and participation of the other two members of the investor group which, with their background and experience in the field, can undoubtedly help TVB reach its full potential.
Madam Cher Wang is an acclaimed industrialist, with strategic insight into technology trends that has enabled her to establish a number of highly successful ICT companies primarily in Taiwan, Mainland China and the United States. She founded and is Chairman of HTC Corp., a leading innovator of smart phones, and VIA Technologies, Inc., a fabless supplier of semiconductor platforms, and is widely recognized for her extensive experience and business achievement in the fields of information technology and new media development.
